How Timber Pines Woodshop came to own a SHARK CNC Machine

In 2025, we were made aware of the availability of a slightly used machine, owned by an Experimental Aircraft Association chapter operating out of a hangar at the local Brooksville, Florida Airport.

The purchase offer was so much less than the retail price. Given this, some of the Woodshop Members were in favor of considering this new equipment. After a little research we recognized the value added by a SHARK machine, and were convinced that it would be a fabulous addition to the Timber Pines Woodshop.

We acquired the machine during the Summer of 2025 and set about discovering what it would take to allow any interested member of the Woodshop to become familiar with its operation. Since then, the Woodshop has created a Web presence and is qualifying as a Makerspace to train significant numbers of Woodshop Members in the art of Design and the subsequent machining.
